BRÜCKNER relaxation dryer removes a bottle neck in the finishing of tubular fabrics at Dyefin Textiles

Dyefin Textiles has been established in 1989 and is today the leading commission finishing company in South Africa. As an expert in the field of textile dyeing, fin-ishing and printing, Dyefin has about 240 employees. In 2007 the company moved to its actual site and could increase with this step its production surface considerably. The expansion ensured also the observation of environmental regulations and allows in future a sustainably economic production. Three years later a strategic merger with the South African garment producer Ninian & Lester took place, who is now one of the biggest customers of Dyefin.

In 2014 a BRÜCKNER relaxation dryer for tubular fabric was set into operation improving the production output in every aspect. “We are able to use speeds of more than 30 m/min without a loss of quality and we are absolutely satisfied with the achieved shrinkage values. First tests with the line proved that the lowest possible consumption of heating energy is achieved during the heat-up phase and during the complete operation of the dryer. This was measured via the condensate amount of the steam radiators. Hence our expectations regarding the energy consumption have been more than fulfilled in comparison to other dryers in our company”, confirms Brenton Pooley, Managing Director at Dyefin Textiles.

This allowed us to eliminate definitely a bottleneck in the finishing of tubular fabric at Dyefin. We are finishing on the BRÜCKNER system fabric types of up to 120 g/sqm, in most cases two tubular fabrics beside each other with a total working width of 2,20 m. At the same time Dyefin can save energy with this dryer concept and even increase the productivity.

The German producer of textile machines BRÜCKNER is known for more than 65 years for his knowledge and experience and the technological leadership in the finishing of knitted fabric. But also in the finishing and coating of woven fabrics, technical textiles, nonwovens and floor coverings BRÜCKNER is one of the leading producers worldwide.
